The current obsession with technology has desensitized the authentic automotive experience. Nilu27 prioritizes a raw, unfiltered connection with the machine, and that is why we have chosen to deliberately minimize our reliance on tech.
What do classic Italian automotive masterpieces have in common with Bauhaus, mathematics, 60s F1, American muscle cars and Avantgarde metal music? They are all inspirations for the uniquely eclectic design of Nilu27. We set out to create a car with an “inevitable” design: new, fresh and yet strangely familiar; something with a strong sense of déjà vu.
NILU’s chassis, drivetrain, exterior and interior are guided by the same vision and philosophy: each is naked, minimalist and functional. And yet, they look nothing alike due to the differences in what they do.
Sculptural and lean exterior with generous flowing curves and minimal cross sections is in sharp contrast to the mechanical, intricately detailed, exposed drivetrain. Interior is a result of human ergonomics, driving essentials, tactility, haptic feedback, viewing angles and, of course, occupant safety. We believe that beauty is not in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is a property of our universe, an Absolute!

Developed by Hartley Engines exclusively for Nilu27, this 6.5 liter, 12 cylinder engine delivers unparalleled naturally aspirated performance figures. Its “Hot V” configuration makes perfect sense for a variety of reasons; no need to wrap the exhaust headers around the transmission and rear suspension geometry as would be the case with a more conventional design. Hot V allows NILU to make the most of its exposed engine bay by allowing the engine heat to escape unobstructed.
In our quest for the most authentic driving experience we decided to couple the
Hartley/Nilu V12 to a seven-speed mechanical transmission supplied by the Italian
artisans at CIMA.
As with the rest of the car, the form following function gives rise to beauty: the
Hartley/Nilu V12 with its exposed top mounted exhaust manifold and the ultra strong
yet lightweight CIMA transmission look, sound and feel absolutely incredible.
The NILU Hypercar employs a double wishbone, pushrod suspension front and rear. Its extremely long wishbones can be seen from the rear; the length contributing to the exceptionally precise and compliant handling characteristics.
Carbon-ceramic braking equipment was sourced from Brembo. The Italian company’s GT | BM calipers are fitted front and rear in a custom white finish. The car also has Brembo’s highest performance CCM-R Plus rotors, which deliver outstanding performance and fade resistance.
A set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rs will be fitted, specified at 265/35 R20 front and 325/30 R21 rear. They will be mounted to 9.5x20” and 12.5x21” Nilu27 center lock wheels, which were designed in-house with intricate lightweight detailing to reduce the unsprung weight. The wheels are produced by AppTech in Italy.

Anyone for an all-new V12-powered, manually-driven, fantastically mad-looking hypercar? This is the Nilu, by the newly formed Nilu27. It’s the brainchild of Sasha Selipanov - a designer who’s worked for the likes of Bugatti, Koenigsegg and a few other relatively small marques - and it wants to show two fingers to digitalisation and electrification.
