The Nilu is raw, V-12-powered track car (a road car is also planned) that aims to deliver an unfiltered driving experience by skipping modern conveniences, while applying the Bauhaus philosophy of form following function for its design. The result resembles a classic Le Mans endurance racer designed for the modern era.

Anyone for an all-new V12-powered, manually-driven, fantastically mad-looking hypercar? This is the Nilu, by the newly formed Nilu27. It’s the brainchild of Sasha Selipanov - a designer who’s worked for the likes of Bugatti, Koenigsegg and a few other relatively small marques - and it wants to show two fingers to digitalisation and electrification.
At the core of the NILU hypercar is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine built for this project by New Zealand-based Hartley Engines, which sought to take inspiration from late '80s and early '90s Formula 1 cars. The motor is unique for a number of reasons...
