The complete vehicle, turnkey
We take the whole car, with one team accountable from the brief to the handover.
- Parts strategy: carry-over, modified and new, tailored to the client's program
- Engineering of every system: structure and monocoque, exterior and interior, electrical architecture, powertrain, suspension, steering and brakes
- Prototype build, dynamic development and homologation
- Handover of the prototype, and the route to series production
Internal combustion works of art, together with Hartley Engines
We partner with Hartley Engines of New Zealand. Together we develop and build internal combustion engines for clients in a range of configurations, based on our proprietary combustion chamber design, hardware and EE architecture.
One cylinder or sixteen. In-line, in a V at various angles, or flat. All share the same core.
On the dyno. The Nilu27 / Hartley V12, built for 11,000 rpm.
Applications. Hypercars, motorsport, passenger vehicles, marine and aerospace.
How it is made. Blocks and heads cast, then machined. Forged internals. Flow bench, dyno and calibration, all inside the partnership.
In the car. Transmission, cooling, exhaust and engine control, installed, integrated and calibrated.
Carbon, from the tub out
Carbon monocoques and the structures around them, engineered for the stiffness of the complete chassis rather than the tub alone. Modularity, stiffness, weight and cost targets are set early and held to sign-off. Subframes, crash structures and mounting points are designed around the car and verified for strength and stiffness.
How. Carbon laid up where the loads run, topology-optimized nodes, metal parts machined from billet or additively manufactured, every joint simulated before it is made.
Also covered. Closures, glazing, bonded and bolted joints, tooling, and structural parts through to manufacture.
A modular platform, beneath the surface
Our proprietary modular platform gives a program a proven starting point: a modular bill of materials, a scalable EE architecture and homologation strategy, adapted to each vehicle and its use. None of it is visible in the finished car.
Available. Within a program, or under license.
Road legal, on a German VIN
We take a car to the road by the route that fits its volume. Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) for single cars and very small runs. EU Small Series Type Approval (EU SSTA) for limited series. Outside the EU, we homologate market by market.
Vehicle identification
For a limited series, German VINs can be issued.
Test campaigns
Crash, emissions, OBD, evaporative emissions, noise, brakes, lighting and functional safety, scheduled into the program plan and run with the technical services.
Individual disciplines

Start with three weeks
Every program opens with a feasibility study. In three weeks it delivers a report, a rough CAD package, a prototype budget, a first program plan and a framework for intellectual property, closed by a presentation to the client's leadership.

The team
Our team has held senior engineering and program roles at Porsche, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Rimac, Harley-Davidson and Pininfarina. We have taken hypercars from first concept through homologation, production launch, after-sales and record runs, and led engineering teams across several countries. Between us: 18 production launches and 5 world record programs.
Sasha Selipanov
Design leadership at the Volkswagen Group, Genesis and Koenigsegg.
Eleven years with the Volkswagen Group. Lead designer on the Lamborghini Huracán, then led exterior design development of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo and the Bugatti Chiron. Head of Advanced Design at Genesis. At Koenigsegg, led design development of the Gemera and the CC850. Founder of Hardline27 and Nilu27.
Simon Wägner
Twenty-five years of senior technical and program leadership at Porsche, Bugatti and Koenigsegg.
At Bugatti, Simon was Head of Electrics and Electronics and acting Head of Project Management, responsible for a hypercar's development end to end: homologation, bill of materials, start of production and derivatives. At Koenigsegg, he rose to VP of Engineering for Car Development Programs within three months, leading production launches, prototype phases and a world record program across a team of a hundred. Before that, Chief Engineer on Porsche and customer programs across the Volkswagen Group and other OEMs, and three campaigns at the Rallye Dakar.
